God Loves Us

Romans 5:8 NKJV
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name!
Introduction:

God's Unbelievable Love

This scripture reminds us of God's unbelievable love. It shows you and I a clear definition of agape love . It actually shows us the meaning of agape love.
A love that goes father than brotherly love! It tells us about a new kind of love,
A Sacrificial Love, A love that gives itself to and for those who don’t have the strength to love
Romans 5:6 NLT
6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.
Romans 5:6 The Message
6 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway.
Romans 5:7 NLT
7 Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good.
The bible tells us we were without God and without strength, lost and confused weak, worthless, useless, helpless, hopeless, destitute, powerless.
We were spiritually useless and unable to help ourselves. and Jesus Christ still died for us!
There was a time we were not thinking about God, we didn’t want to have anything to do with God and the things of God, we had a life that did not include God in anyway shape form or fashion.
Check this out - It was at that time that Christ died for us.
It was in God's appointed time: His destined time, appropriate time - the time that we didn’t even truly acknowledge God - that he looked into the future and saw you and I and told his Son - that’s who you have to die for.

Preparing The World For Christ

We had to be prepared for Christ before God could send Him into the world. We had to learn that we were without strength and couldn’t fix the problems,
Some time we had to hit rock bottom with things going wrong - left and right to understand that we needed help - the help that only God could give us, we needed someone to save us and that someone was Jesus

Jesus Christ died for us.

The word "for" means for our benefit, for our sake, in our behalf, in our stead, as our substitute.
2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT
21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

God Loves Us

God's love is an uncommon and an unbelievable love.
Just think about this!
Some persons attempt to save people who are caught in some desperate situation, and others offer their lives to represent leaders in their great purpose.
Man a few people will die for a just and upright man (righteous).
A few will even dare to die for a "good" man.
But not Jesus, he went well beyond what men do. Christ..
Jesus died for those who didn’t like God
Jesus did for those who were the very opposite of righteous and good.
Jesus died for those who the world said were useless
Jesus died for the homeless, t
Jesus died for the destitute
Jesus died for the liar, he died for the murderer , he died for the rapist, he died for the white, he died for the black, he died for the brown, he died for the yellow, he died for you and he died for me
Jesus died for those for no man would die, for those who were diametrically opposed to God, the very opposite from all that He is.
That’s that unbelievable love of God
Romans 5:8–9 NLT
8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.
We were sinners, yet God showed , proved exhibited and demonstrated His love to us.
Man, God is always showing and proving His love to us.
He gave his life for the "sinners"! That refers to a person who is disobeying God's Word and will today - right now!
How - by living selfishly.
• by ignoring God's commandments.
• by doing your own thing.
• by fulfilling the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes.
• by pursuing the pride of life and the things of the world.
The point is this: it is "while we were yet sinners" that God proved His love to us.
This is that unbelievable love of God, that He stooped down to save sinners.
We would expect Him to save righteous and good men, but it catches me completely off-guard when it is stated that He saves sinners.
That’s that unbelievable love of God.

God Proves that He Loves Us

1. God gave His only Son to die for us.
Think of the price God paid in proving His love:
He gave up His Son to die for you and me
I need you to just think about what God had to go through for us
God had to humiliate His Son by stripping Him of His eternal glory and insisting that He become clothed with corruptible flesh and die as a man. ⇒
God had to watch His Son walk through life being rejected, denied, cursed, abused, arrested, tortured, and murdered. God had to sit back and watch His Son suffer being murdered by the hands of men;
He had to sit back when He knew He could reach out and deliver Him.
God had to destine His Son to die upon the cross for the sins of men.
God had to lay all the sins of the world upon His Son and let Him bear them all.
God had to judge His Son as the sinner and condemn Him to death for sin.
⇒ God had to turn His back upon Christ in death.
⇒ God had to cast His wrath against sin upon Christ.
⇒ God has to bear the pain of His Son's sufferings eternally, for He is eternal and the death of His Son is ever before His face.
We do not deserve it—we never have and we never will—but God loves us with an unbelievable love. That’s why, He has given His Son to die for us, as our substitute, in our behalf.
Isaiah 53:5 NKJV
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
John 15:13 NKJV
13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
1 Peter 3:18 NLT
18 Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

Jesus has made us right with God!

Romans 5:1 NLT
1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
Romans 3:25 The Living Bible
25 For God sent Christ Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to end all God’s anger against us. He used Christ’s blood and our faith as the means of saving us from his wrath. In this way he was being entirely fair, even though he did not punish those who sinned in former times. For he was looking forward to the time when Christ would come and take away those sins.

Reconciliation

We were enemies of God! But God has reconciled and saved us.
God reconciles and saves us by doing three things.
1. God reconciles us by Christ's death
2. God saves us by Christ's life.
Let me share this Jesus Christ stands before God as our great Intercessor and Mediator.
Standing before God, He stands as the Sinless and Righteous Son of God, as the Ideal and Perfect Man.
When we believe in Jesus Christ, God takes our belief and counts it as righteousness.
The Ideal Righteousness of Jesus covers us, and God accepts and saves us because we trust Jesus Christ as the living Lord, as our Intercessor and Mediator before God.
3. God gives us joy through the reconciliation of Jesus Christ.
When you begin to understand how much God loves you - you are bound to be filled with joy and rejoicing The idea is that two persons who should have been together all along are brought together; two persons who had something between them are restored and reunited.
I got a called from a relative a week ago and he said man i was mad at you for over 30 years and I just realize it wasn’t your fault! He said I’m sorry - we missed all that time away from each other, but I understand what happened back then now - without being emotional and taken sides!
We are now reconciled!!
2 Corinthians 5:19–21 NLT
19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
God Loves Us and He just wants to reconcile the relationship!
