Praying the Scriptures
Pray for Israel –  Psalm 122 – Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem Zechariah 2:8 “…for he who touches you (Israel), touches the apple of His eye.” Psalm 148:14 – “And he lifted up a horn for His people, praise for all His godly ones; even for the sons of Israel, a people near to Him…” Isaiah 62:6-7 – “On you walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night they will never be silent.   You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; and give Him no rest until He establishes and make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Romans 9:1-4 – “O Israel, my Jewish family, I feel such great sorrow and heartache for you that never leaves me!  God knows these deep feelings within me as I long for you to come to faith in the Anointed One.  My conscience will not let me speak anything but the truth.  For my grief is so intense that I wish that I would be accursed, cut off from the Messiah, if it would mean that you, my people, would come to faith in him! Romans 11:15 – “For if their temporary rejection released the reconciling power of grace into the world, what will happen when Israel is reinstated and reconciled to God?  It will unleash resurrection power throughout the whole earth!  Pray for Sanctity of Life Genesis 1:27,28 – So God created man and woman and shaped them with his image inside them.  In his own beautiful image, he created his masterpiece.  Yes male and female he created them.  And God blessed them in his love saying: “Reproduce and be fruitful! Populate the earth and subdue it!...” Genesis 9:6 – Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man. Exodus 20:13 – You shall not murder. Genesis 4:10-15 – cursed from ground, vengeance seven fold Proverbs 6:16 – There are 6 evils God truly hates and a seventh that is an abomination to him:  putting others down while considering yourself superior, spreading lies and rumors, spilling the blood of the innocent… Matthew 5:21-22 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, “You shall not murder….but I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgement…” Psalm 127:3 – Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. 1 Cor 3:16-17 – Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?  If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him.  For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
