Let God Use You

Intro:Today we will look at the Bible principles on the subject of the INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

First, the Holy Spirit indwells the Christian.

Two, the Indwelling Spirit produces the Fruits of the Spirit.

Third, the Spirit dwells in the Christian through the Word of God.

Jesus promised reassurance to His disciples. Although he was going away, he was to send a comforter.

Earlier in the same chapter Jesus had spoken of the comforter. And these were the words spoken by our Lord & Savoir in verses 16 and 17 “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”

Although these promises were made specifically to the apostles, we also have additional teaching in the New Testament regarding the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the Christian.

Let us begin by examining this passage of scripture for a greater appreciation of His teaching.
