Good morning/afternoon!
Here we are, five days after perhaps the most contentious election in our nation’s history. Lots of stuff still up in the air, and likely to be up in the air for a while.
So, did your side win? Is your side losing?
You have chosen a side, haven’t you?
OK, let me rephrase that, which side did you choose?
Because, the fact is, no matter which way you voted or didn’t vote, you chose a side!
You may be thinking, “No, no! I purposely didn’t choose a side!”
Yes you did! By not choosing, you chose!
Unfortunately, for too many of us, that’s how we make our choices!
And it’s mind-boggling that we choose that way!
And it’s even more mind-boggling that when we make our choices that way, that we get upset at the results, the consequences of choosing that way!
We’re surprised and hurt that life has taken us a long way away from where we wanted to be!
That’s crazy!
And yet, if we wanted to drive to the grocery store from our house, and we got in our car, started the engine, put it in gear and stepped on the gas, but never took hold of the steering wheel, we wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t exactly make it to our intended destination!
But that’s the same thing that happens to us when we choose the wrong side or we intentionally choose to not choose a side!
So, let me ask you again, whatever method you chose to choose, which side did you choose?
