I. SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE

A. Processing that reality: I want my life to count

It went from:

Inquiries about my gift mix and my context

Thinking and pondering a change

SOMETHING NEEDED TO CHANGE

It went to

My accident

COVID

The Lord showed me Himself and His will in clear ways (Our Greatest Boast Sermon Series)

Clear call: You don’t need to quit; “you need to change your current context to match my purposes”

II. THE CHANGE: A DISCIPLESHIP EXPECTATION AND FOCUS

A. It is commanded by the Lord

Matthew 28:19–20 ESV

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Acts 1:8 ESV

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

B. The Disciple-Life Expectation of Members

1. Living An Intentionally OUTWARD Focus of Sharing Christ

Evangelizing the lost with the gospel

Discipling new believers in the gospel

2. Living An Intentionally Personal Focus of Growing In Christ

Humility to be always in the process of being discipled

Disciplined in personally growing and nurturing your faith

3. Internal Focus

Being committed to nurturing Christ-Centered Relationships in our faith family

Being committed in displaying Christ centered care and compassion for our faith family

III. THE CHANGE: A NEW NAME AND NEW BEGINNING

A. The Bridge Fellowship: Building Relationships - Changing Lives

1. Building Community

Intentionally cultivating a genuine reality of belonging

Intentionally cultivating a genuine reality of family

Expecting and inspecting this focus and intentionality from everyone

2. Changing Lives

By radically building community

By creating a culture where spiritual infant are a necessity

By creating an environment where welcome and growth are evident

III. The Strategy of Fulfilling Our Purpose

A. By Cultivating a culture of discipleship and growth by:

1. Teaching truth in a way that anyone can understand it

2. Helping people to have a better everyday walk (life) with Jesus

B. By Cultivating a foundation of gospel centered relationship

1. Where relationship with Christ is demonstrated in obedience to the Great Commission

2. Where relationships with one another reflect the Law of Love commanded by our Lord

C. By Developing An Organizational Structure that Envisions and Expects Growth
