Law of Priorities

1. Preach the Word (vv. 1, 2). Timothy must keep the message alive, teaching urgently, persistently, and with conviction.

2. Do the work (vv. 3–5). Timothy was to do the work of an evangelist, fulfilling his call, reaching his potential.

3. Run the race (vv. 6–8). Timothy was to emulate Paul, who finished his course and won the prize.
