From the text we want to look at some specific things about God’s Promises and how they affect our prayers

We cannot deny that there are many promises in the bible
How Many? according to one count 7474
What Kinds? not all for everyone; divided in four
Personal or Universal? personal given to individual or group and is for a particular situation, so that the promise is without application apart from its historical context; Universal is unlimited in scope and applies to everyone
Conditional or Unconditional? conditional remains unfulfilled until the condition/s are met; Unconditional is fulfilled regardless
