Isa 5:25 -
Isaiah 10:27
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Jeremiah 30:8 - ’For it shall come to pass in that day,’ says the LORD of hosts, ’That I will break his yoke from your neck, and will burst your bonds; foreigners shall no more enslave them.” It is the anointing or the divine enablement of God manifesting Himself on our behalf that breaks the yoke. It is that divine flow of the Holy Spirit that will break that yoke in our lives.
What does the term anointing mean

1. There are two words for it. One in the Hebrew which is mashach, which means to rub or smear with oil, to paint, to cover over, to consecrate.

2. The Greek word for anointing is Chiro. It means to anoint, to cover over, to rub with oil. It is always used of rubbing or sprinkling with oil in a religious sense.

3. The anointing means to be rubbed, painted or smeared with oil. B. We realize that oil is representation of the Holy Spirit so to be anointed would be to be rubbed, painted or smeared by the Holy Ghost.

1. When you take a bath you don’t just put soap on your hands and then wash it off, you rub it in, you smear it in, you work it in until you are clean.

2. The working of the Holy Spirit and the anointing is the process of rubbing and smearing out all the sin.

a. It is a complete cleansing, a consecration, a new creature for the service of God

3. Sometimes if you are really dirty you have to scrub hard and sometimes it is uncomfortable and even painful. Especially if you allow the dirt to cake up.

a. The cleansing of the Holy Spirit can also sometimes. But for the anointing to come upon us we must allow him to do his work.

We are to be smeared or painted with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He is to consume our lives.
Interestingly, the same Hebrew word translated “anointing” in Isaiah 10:27 can also be translated fatness. The NIV translates the latter part of this verse: “…the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat.” The idea is once the yoke is broken off by the anointing, if satan tries to bring the yoke back at another time, it won’t fit due to the increased “fatness” or strength of the person’s neck. Such an anointing will move believers to new levels of maturity. Instead of being yoked to satan, we will become yoked to Jesus.
Matthew 11:29-30 – “(29) Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (30) For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Whenever the Holy Spirit is flowing the devil will not be able to put anymore yokes on us. Our necks will be to fat because of the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
When we don’t pray that anointing (the neck) seems to shrink; when we don’t read and study the Bible that anointing (the neck) gets smaller; when we don’t attend church that anointing (neck) get a little smaller until eventually the enemy is able to put the yoke back on our neck.
