Why Am I Here?

This question have been the eternal question of the human heart since the beginning of time and throughout human history

Man continually has sought out this question, trying to find it within themselves or the things around them

Why are we here? We were created… For a purpose

Psalm 139:13-16

Psalm 139:13–16 ESV

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

God knew us before we were even formed in our mother’s womb, He planned out our lives before we were even born

Acts 13:36

For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers and saw corruption,

David had a purpose he was created for

Genesis 1:26-28

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

We were created to have dominion over our environment and circle of influence

We were each chosen by God to do good works, Ephesians 2:10

Ephesians 2:10 ESV

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
