One of my colleagues who is a pastor went through the same interview process for ordination three years ago the same year Pastor Debra went through her interviews. Anyway in these interviews the possibility is there for the Board to ask anything. Well my friend got the question “What happens when you die?” There is pressure in an interview setting to have all the right answers. I wish I could remember some of the things he told me he said. But they put the pressure on that question for several minutes until finally after not being able to come up with a satisfactory answer he finally submitted and said “I nor does anyone else really know for sure what happens when you die.” And the interview team said thank you that was what we were looking for.
