Phillips This excellent book divides into two parts: Understanding our mandate, and Living our Mandate. The first deals with defining masculinity from a biblical perspective. The second part deals with how that definition applies in various areas of life: marriage, family, children, the church and working with others. Grounded in Scripture and challenging in content. Highly recommended for anyone who sincerely wants to be a man of God. Mission Trip – If you are interested in participating in a mission trip to Santa Cecilia, Guatemala next February, please contact Jesse Griffin or Patty McNeff. Missions News from Voice of the Martyrs – VOM produces radio broadcasts that reach into North Korea. We train North Korean defectors to read Scripture, sing hymns, present Bible lessons and preach to those inside the country. VOM continues to upgrade broadcast technology to circumvent the government’s jamming efforts. Because of the difficulties of reaching this highly restricted nation, we also share the gospel by launching Scripture balloons into the country. While this work began decades ago, more recently we have begun using a sophisticated system of hydrogen balloons that carry tiny New Testaments. VOM workers use advanced software to predict weather patterns and choose ideal launch dates and times. They also use GPS technology to predict and tract where the balloons land. VOM must be very careful about the information we provide regarding work in North Korea, the most highly restricted nation in which we work. . . . For those of you who partner with us in this work, thank you for your continued trust. . . . You are our partners in reaching North Korea for Christ.
