The Seven Walls Dedicated for Destruction
The Seven Walls Dedicated for Destruction
1 Now the gates of Jericho were tightly shut because the people were afraid of the Israelites. No one was allowed to go out or in. 2 But the Lord said to Joshua, “I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors. 3 You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days. 4 Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram’s horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the town seven times, with the priests blowing the horns. 5 When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams’ horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town.”
6 So Joshua called together the priests and said, “Take up the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, and assign seven priests to walk in front of it, each carrying a ram’s horn.” 7 Then he gave orders to the people: “March around the town, and the armed men will lead the way in front of the Ark of the Lord.”
8 After Joshua spoke to the people, the seven priests with the rams’ horns started marching in the presence of the Lord, blowing the horns as they marched. And the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant followed behind them. 9 Some of the armed men marched in front of the priests with the horns and some behind the Ark, with the priests continually blowing the horns. 10 “Do not shout; do not even talk,” Joshua commanded. “Not a single word from any of you until I tell you to shout. Then shout!” 11 So the Ark of the Lord was carried around the town once that day, and then everyone returned to spend the night in the camp.
12 Joshua got up early the next morning, and the priests again carried the Ark of the Lord. 13 The seven priests with the rams’ horns marched in front of the Ark of the Lord, blowing their horns. Again the armed men marched both in front of the priests with the horns and behind the Ark of the Lord. All this time the priests were blowing their horns. 14 On the second day they again marched around the town once and returned to the camp. They followed this pattern for six days.
15 On the seventh day the Israelites got up at dawn and marched around the town as they had done before. But this time they went around the town seven times. 16 The seventh time around, as the priests sounded the long blast on their horns, Joshua commanded the people, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the town! 17 Jericho and everything in it must be completely destroyed as an offering to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and the others in her house will be spared, for she protected our spies.
18 “Do not take any of the things set apart for destruction, or you yourselves will be completely destroyed, and you will bring trouble on the camp of Israel. 19 Everything made from silver, gold, bronze, or iron is sacred to the Lord and must be brought into his treasury.”
20 When the people heard the sound of the rams’ horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the town and captured it. 21 They completely destroyed everything in it with their swords—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep, goats, and donkeys.
22 Meanwhile, Joshua said to the two spies, “Keep your promise. Go to the prostitute’s house and bring her out, along with all her family.”
23 The men who had been spies went in and brought out Rahab, her father, mother, brothers, and all the other relatives who were with her. They moved her whole family to a safe place near the camp of Israel.
24 Then the Israelites burned the town and everything in it. Only the things made from silver, gold, bronze, or iron were kept for the treasury of the Lord’s house. 25 So Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute and her relatives who were with her in the house, because she had hidden the spies Joshua sent to Jericho. And she lives among the Israelites to this day.
Being around the Church for a few years I have seen several movements or trends.
The Faith Movement
Healing Movements
Word of Faith Movements
Choir Movements
Praise & Worship Movement
Bishop Movements
Prophets & Seers Movement
Non-denominational Movement
Come as you are Movement
Apostolic & Prophetic
Virtual Evangelism Movement
One thing that has come crystal clear to me is this, no-matter what trend one follows if they are not saved & submitted to what the Word of God requires its all vanity.
In the shout till your wig fall off movement.
People where praising God and shouting for the victory over there issues.
But many went home defeated by what was waiting for them at Home..
Even today many Holy ghost filled people are miserable.
The feel defeated in:
in there Home
In there relationships
In there finances
In there marriage
In there ministry
In there job
There is a wall In our way!!!
And it’s Dedicated for Destruction
And it’s Dedicated for Destruction
Joshua was given the responsibility to pastor the 2nd
generation of freed Slaves.
Their parents where all dead and they had to wondered for 40 years until that 1st generation died off. The first generation saw themselves as grass-hopers and didn’t trust God.
God will kill off everything in your family, ministry & Marriage that will hinder you full-filling your destiny.
God will also wait for a generation to die off and restart with a new one.
This Is very Important:
There are Rules of Engagement
Satan has been able to establish and set up elaborate structures, Systems & walls that hinders some believers ability to rightfully access this heavenly realm.
Thats why we have more
disgruntled
fearful
angry
Unhappy
depressed
unfruitful
lonely
Believers In the Body of Christ
Today Let’s Learn how Joshua took down a wall with obeying the directions of God.
A Handbook on the Book of Joshua The Capture of Jericho 6:1–27
THE CAPTURE OF JERICHO 6:1–27
The story of the fall of Jericho to the Israelites emphasizes that it was not military might that defeated the enemy but the Lord’s power; he is in absolute control of the events, and as long as his people follow his commands they will prosper and succeed.
A Handbook on the Book of Joshua The Capture of Jericho 6:1–27
In verses 1–7 the Lord gives instructions to Joshua about the capture of Jericho; it is the Lord’s doing (verse 2), and the city walls will fall without the use of human force (verses 3–5). Joshua tells the Lord’s instructions to the priests (verse 6) and to the people (verse 7), and all is ready. Jericho is in a state of siege (verse 1),
1 Now the gates of Jericho were tightly shut because the people were afraid of the Israelites. No one was allowed to go out or in.
2 But the Lord said to Joshua, “I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors.
I am convinced God wants us to take down the King and the warrior spirits that have terrorized our bloodline.
And he will do it with a Shout & Praise!!!!
The Children had 7 enemies
HITTITES - This name means terror.
They were giants who brought fear, confusion and discouragement to others. This is our enemy too because as spiritual Israelites we should only fear God and not anything other than God and not man.
Proverbs 29:25 (NIV) says "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe".
GIRGASHITES - The meaning of the word "Girgashite" is as one who returns back from a pilgrimage.
Therefore, they are people that go back and are earthly. They build their houses using clay which shows they are not stable in their mind-set.
This is our enemy too because we have to be stable in our faith always based on Jesus Christ.
In Isaiah 28:16 (ESV), "Thus says the Lord God, "Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: 'Whoever believes will not be in haste.'..."
AMORITES. They were people who were arrogant and boastful in their speech, who were always challenging. They had high self-esteem and this pride led to finding fault in others.
This is our enemy too because God is the only judge. So, if we judge others then we will also be arrogant before God.
Proverbs 8:13 (NIV) says "To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behaviour and perverse speech."
CANAANITES. This name means merchants who humiliate. They were financial giants.
The Canaanites were motivated by greed and lust for the accumulation of earthly and material wealth.
This is our enemy too as we can't serve two masters and this world's possessions are temporary.
James 4.4 (NIV) says "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God."
PERIZZITES. They were people who had separated themselves and lived in unprotected, unwalled villages. They had no discipline and restrictions.
This is our enemy because we have to completely surrender ourselves to God's commandments.
Proverbs 25:28 (NIV) says "Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control."
HIVITES. They claimed to offer a good lifestyle, living by phrases such as "if it feels good do it", "don't worry what other people think" and "look out for number one". They lived a very luxurious life.
This is our enemy because our spiritual life is a sacrificial one.
1 Tim.6.10 (NIV) says "for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."
JEBUSITES. They were people who exploited and polluted others through immoral activities.
This is our enemy because our body is a temple of our lord.
Matthew 5:27-28 (NIV) says "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Seven—This number occurs frequently in Scripture
Seven—This number occurs frequently in Scripture
On the seventh day God rested, and hallowed it (Gen. 2:2, 3). The division of time into weeks of seven days each accounts for many instances of the occurrence of this number. This number has been called the symbol of perfection, and also the symbol of rest. “Jacob’s seven years’ service to Laban; Pharaoh’s seven fat oxen and seven lean ones; the seven branches of the golden candlestick; the seven trumpets and the seven priests who sounded them; the seven days’ siege of Jericho; the seven churches, seven spirits, seven stars, seven seals, seven vials, and many others, sufficiently prove the importance of this sacred number”
43 “When a demon is cast out of a person, it roams around a dry region, looking for a place to rest, but never finds it. 44 Then it says, ‘I’ll return to the house I moved out of,’ and so it goes back, only to find that the house is vacant, warm, and ready for it to move back in. 45 So it goes looking for seven other demons more evil than itself, and they all enter together to live there. Then the person’s condition becomes much worse than it was in the beginning. This describes what will also happen to the people of this evil generation.”
17 He knew their thoughts, so he said, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A family splintered by feuding will fall apart. 18 You say I am empowered by Satan. But if Satan is divided and fighting against himself, how can his kingdom survive?
17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. 18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

3 You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days.
4 Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram’s horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the town seven times, with the priests blowing the horns.
Ram’s Horn:
HORN Or trumpet. A musical instrument that was often used to sound an alarm for war or worship.
The most common Hebrew word for “horn” as a musical instrument is שׁוֹפָר (shophar). The שׁוֹפָר (shophar) was primarily used in military settings. However, in both military and ritual settings, it was viewed as a sacred instrument. The שׁוֹפָר (shophar) was used during physical battle to signal military advances or to strike fear into Israel’s enemies
5 When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams’ horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town.”

6 So Joshua called together the priests and said, “Take up the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, and assign seven priests to walk in front of it, each carrying a ram’s horn.”
The Ark Of The Lords Covenant was to be carried everyday around the walls.
ARK OF THE COVENANT (אֲרוֹן בְּרִית, aron berith). A wooden chest overlaid with gold that contained the tablets of the law. It served both practical and symbolic purposes and was instrumental in both rituals and miracles. The Israelites believed the ark of the covenant was symbolically Yahweh’s throne—representing His very presence on earth.
While the most common name for the ark is “ark of the covenant,” it is also referred to as “the ark of God,” “the ark of might,” “the holy ark,” and “the ark of testimony” (or simply “the testimony”).
1. You can’t engage the enemy if you have broken covenant.
Broken Covenants :
Will Hinder your Deliverance
2. They where required to follow the pattern 7 days strait (consistency)
I want to Deal with 7 Walls that Many of us have had to contend with in our family.
Opposition:
Opposition:
Resistance or dissent, expressed in action or argument
Re-bel-lion:
Re-bel-lion:
I. an act of violent or open resistance to an establish government.
II. The actions or process of resisting authority control
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Fear:
Fear:
feeling of anxiety concerning the outcome of something
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Poverty:
Poverty:
The renunciation of the right to individual ownership of property
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
Offense:
Offense:
1 AND [Jesus] said to His disciples, Temptations (snares, traps set to entice to sin) are sure to come, but woe to him by or through whom they come!
The Greek word for “offend” in Luke 17:1 comes from the word skandalon. This word originally referred to the part of the trap to which the bait was attached. Hence the word signifies laying a trap in someone’s way. In the New Testament it often describes an entrapment used by the enemy. Offense is a tool of the devil to bring people into captivity.
One way the enemy keeps a person in an offended state is to keep the offense hidden, cloaked with pride. Pride will keep you from admitting your true condition.
Disobedience:
Disobedience:
failure or refusal to obey rules or someone in authority
Confusion:
Confusion:
a lack of understanding, a situation of panic, a break down of order
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
