2 Chronicles 33

Falling into Sin

Judah went from prosperous to a nation worse than those that were before them (vs9).

They fell into this this sin by thinking too little of God.

Because they didn’t value God, they didn’t value His image (vs6).

Because they didn’t value God, they didn’t value His Word (vs10).

Consequences

Judah went from a strong nation to one under control of Assyria (vs11).

Manasseh went from royal life to prison life.

This shows us that God cares about sin - there will be consequences.

If you push God away, sin fills in, and consequences will come.

Restoration

In vs12-17 we see a restoration of Manasseh and the nation.

This took place because Manasseh was humble (vs12-13).

Humbly leaning on Jesus is what brings salvation.

Whatever sin has dominated your life, it can all change, through humility.
