A Personal Experience During Trouble

Introduction: This Davidic Psalm continues to support faith in God during the trials of life. This faith is made stronger during times of suffering and pain.
Penman: David the Songwriter, Shepherd, Soon-to-be-King.
Period: David is running from King Saul and after he has acted like a lunatic in order to escape from King Abimelech. (1 Samuel 21)
Praise God for His Deliverance – He is now free and God has again delivered.

Experience the Lord’s Protection (34:7-8)

The Lord will Rescue the Reverent (34:7) - 7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”
2 Kings 6:17 (CSB) - “16 Elisha said, "Don't be afraid, for those who are with us outnumber those who are with them. 17 Then Elisha prayed, "Lord, please open his eyes and let him see." So the Lord opened the servant's eyes. He looked and saw that the mountain was covered with horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
Psalm 27:3 - “3 though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.”
The Lord Rewards Take Who Take Refuge In Him (34:8) - 8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”

Experience the Lord’s Provision (34:9-10)

The Lord Provides for Those Who Rely Upon Him (34:9) - 9 I fear the LORD, ye his saints for there is no want to them that fear him.”

Experience the Lord’s Peace (34:11-14)

Peace with the Lord (34:11-12) - “11 Come ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
