Creating a Culture of Blessing Part 2
We are in the middle of a new series “Creating a Culture of Blessing
For the past two hundred years Mokuaikaua has created a culture of blessing right here in Kailua Kona, blessing our community and people around the world.
Our people are the best people in Hawaii, Godly men, women, and children who desire to see the kingdom of God here on earth, as we faithfully live Godly lives sharing the gospel and making disciples.
A culture
is our way of life, lifestyle our values?
as we live our lives for God, we inspire and move others to do the same.
We had some wonderful people before us who model a culture of blessing, and we have many wonderful people, right now who are continue their legacy.
Speaking Blessings
A culture of blessing is purposeful about the way they speak to each other.
Eph 5:19 Speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, [offering praise by] singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:20 always giving thanks to God the Father for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Eph 5:21 being subject to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Let’s pray
3 ways how we should speak to each other
1Offering Praises, 2 Giving Thanks to God, 3 submitting to one another.

1 Offering Praise

We are to uplift and encourage each other in the Lord
Heb 3:13 But continually encourage one another every day, as long as it is called "Today" [and there is an opportunity], so that none of you will be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [its cleverness, delusive glamour, and sophistication].
Eph 4:32 Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you.
Our words to each other have tremendous power, our presence to each other has power.
When someone sees you what do they experience, encouragement, hope, faith?
Or are you one of those that can not wait a minute before you are complaining about something or someone?
We are called to bring life, but we have to choose to do it.
Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words. [Mat_12:37]
For some complaining and gossiping has become a habit,
Ex I remember this dear woman, who was a friend thank God, but she could not help herself, you gave her over a minute of your time, and you would hear stories about others or how bad things were for her, even though, she had a home, a car, money and good health.
When we speak like that over our friends, we discourage them we bring death, especially when you are putting them down.
All of us have make mistakes, like that, but now that we are part of this culture of blessing, let’s be purposeful about what we share, how we encourage people, how we bring life to them.
Mat 12:36 But I tell you, on the day of judgment people will have to give an accounting for every careless or useless word they speak.
Mat 12:37 For by your words [reflecting your spiritual condition] you will be justified and acquitted of the guilt of sin; and by your words [rejecting Me] you will be condemned and sentenced."
We have a choice, we can be life givers.
Our words reveal the condition of our hearts, Jesus said
Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Guard your heart, wherever we allow inn, is going to come out and every so often can be very embarrassing.
We need to fill our hearts with good things
Php 4:8 Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God's word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].
As we speak to each other Use words from Heaven, if your praises are sincere and truthful, you will build each other up, you will release faith, you will give them understanding.
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2 Always be grateful and give thanks to God

We need to Reach out to everyone, not just your friends
Mat 5:43 "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR (fellow man) and hate your enemy.'
Mat 5:44 "But I say to you, love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Mat 5:45 so that you may [show yourselves to] be the children of your Father who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on those who are evil and on those who are good, and makes the rain fall on the righteous [those who are morally upright] and the unrighteous [the unrepentant, those who oppose Him].
Mat 5:46 For if you love [only] those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do that?
Mat 5:47 And if you greet only your brothers [wishing them God's blessing and peace], what more [than others] are you doing? Do not even the Gentiles [who do not know the Lord] do that?
Mat 5:48 You, therefore, will be perfect [growing into spiritual maturity both in mind and character, actively integrating godly values into your daily life], as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Whatever we are, our words and thanks giving can change the whole environment.

3 Submit to one another in the fear of the Lord.

Honor, respect, is how we submit to one another, we treat everyone with love and value them, we listen to what they have to say, even when we don’t agree.
Rom 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God [granted by His permission and sanction], and those which exist have been put in place by God. [Pro_8:15]
Rom 13:2 Therefore whoever resists [governmental] authority resists the ordinance of God. And those who have resisted it will bring judgment (civil penalty) on themselves.
We are to respect each other, including our governing authorities, if we like them or not. Our higher authority is always Our Heavenly Father, and we will always follow Him even if our friends and government comes against Him.
Some times we are tempted to be quiet because our views and desires are unpopular to the world, honor your Heavenly Father and keep the faith, let Him reward you.
Speaking Blessings
1 Offering Praises, 2 Giving Thanks to God, 3 submitting to one another.
Deu 28:1 "Now it shall be, if you diligently listen to and obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all of His commandments which I am commanding you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
Deu 28:2 All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you pay attention to the voice of the LORD your God.
Deu 28:3 "You will be blessed in the city, and you will be blessed in the field.
Deu 28:4 "The offspring of your body and the produce of your ground and the offspring of your animals, the offspring of your herd and the young of your flock will be blessed.
Deu 28:5 "Your basket and your kneading bowl will be blessed.
Deu 28:6 "You will be blessed when you come in and you will be blessed when you go out.
Deu 28:7 "The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way, but flee before you seven ways.
Deu 28:8 The LORD will command the blessing upon you in your storehouses and in all that you undertake, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
All Begins when we make Jesus the Lord of your life.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16
To receive Jesus, we need to accept Him as God’s son, repent from our sins and a life of selfishness, asking Him to be our Lord and savior, not that you deserve it, but is a gift from God.
If this is your desire today, please repeat this prayer after me?
Heavenly Father I’m sinner, I’m sorry for my sins, I’m willing to turn away from my sins.
I receive Christ as my savior,
I confess him as Lord
from this moment on I want to follow and serve him,
in the fellowship of his church,
In Jesus name. Amen!
