Recap:
Lost things found.
Did anyone find anything lost this week?
Did you find where you lost your edge in life?
Did you invite Jesus to that time and place to restore that edge again?
When you feel powerless.
When it feels like we are surrounding by enemies? /opposition
When it feels like we cant fix what we are facing.
What do you do when things done work out the way you had faith they would?
Play video: Jehoshaphat
Jehoshaphat turned to God for guidance when facing what he could not fix.
He declared who God was out-loud.
They shared stories of how God came through.
Declare what the Lord says
“The battle is not yours it is Gods’ “
“Do not be afraid”
2 Chronicles 20:15 NASB95
15 and he said, “Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.
Turn to God for guidance.
Declare who God Is
Share a Story of God being real in your life.
Speak Out what God says to you now.
“Do Not be Afraid” ‘The battle is not yours, it is Gods.”
Psalm 56:3–4 NASB95
3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. 4 In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?
This year is all about trust.
Who do we trust?
What do we trust?
Do we really trust God with everything and in every area of our lives?
I am very concerned about the division in our country and lives.
Every spirit out there influencing people that is not God hates humanity.
These spirits want to put people in categories so people will feel justified in ungodly actions.
Unity only comes by the power of Holy Spirit.
A disagreement is an invite to hear God deeper.
A disagreement is an invite to better understand opposite of your side.
Sometime disagreement when addressed with and open spirit and with love will help you better understand an opposite side as well as ground your decision deeper in the truth you already found.
Other times it will open your heart to have compassion for another perspective.
Sometimes it flat out changes your mind.
We have 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason.
Speaking up is only part of this.
We are being called to listen.
Listen to what God is saying. NOT what fear is saying.
Listen to why others a choosing different that you.
Another story of being surrounded:
Stephen
Acts 7:53 NASB95
53 you who received the law as ordained by angels, and yet did not keep it.”
Acts 7:54–60 NASB95
54 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the quick, and they began gnashing their teeth at him. 55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; 56 and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” 57 But they cried out with a loud voice, and covered their ears and rushed at him with one impulse. 58 When they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him; and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!” 60 Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” Having said this, he fell asleep.
I want my life to make it so Jesus cant keep sitting on His throne He has to stand.
I want what is coming off my life to move Jesus so much he cant stay seated.
Stephen did this by following the way of Jesus when it is the hardest time to do so.
When Stephen was surrounding with people plugging their ears and throwing rocks at him to kill him, that is when Stephen was most like Jesus.
Do not hold this against them.
Who do you need to say that about today.
I know you think you were in the right=, maybe you are and maybe your not. That does not matter. What comes out of your heart through your mouth is what matters.
Closing:
What should we do when we are surrounded?
This Weeks Challenge:

1 Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death. And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. 2 Some devout men buried Stephen, and made loud lamentation over him. 3 But Saul began ravaging the church, entering house after house, and dragging off men and women, he would put them in prison.
