UMBC AM SERVICE - November 8, 2020

What is good all the time? God is good. Hey, man. Hey man, if you got your Bible this morning, we're going to turn over to the 46 chapter of the book of Isaiah. Isaiah 46 so good to see each one of you this morning. amen I will see lot of smiles floating around in here this morning for somebody that must mean you missed a good one yesterday on you stand.

Or even you didn't see one at all. Hey, man, I went yesterday evening. I actually seen quite a few but too or mosquitoes.

Amen, and then I felt the spirit of the Lord say so I'm going back on.

Amen, so willing to be obedient to the Lord. I quit fighting them Skeeters and went to the house. praise the Lord Amen, so good to be in the Lord's house today.

You know me always like to say something before we get in the reading all of the word and

you know 2020. It's going to be one that will all remember. It's one that's a lot of lot of things is going on, but that you don't normally see you're in and you're out.

I don't know about each one of you but I personally never never actually been involved in a pandemic. I'll always remember that I still would like to know the truth behind all of it, but that's neither here nor there.

Weather wise I know we we think more we just had one hurricane backed up after another one. And that's true. Amen. We did y'all stay with me this morning.

And then probably the Pinnacle of of the Year happened this week.

and for a lot of people

And you made me one of them this morning? there is a lot of people have a feeling of being helpless and that things are hopeless.

I'll stand in front of you today and and I'll say this as far as us as a nation. I'm not just sure where we go from here. As far as a country, I'm not not too big to to stand here and say that.

But I will say this to you this morning before we get in the reading of the word. There's nothing that's ever happened. That is a surprise to God.

There is nothing that's happened nor will there ever happen that he does not have the final Authority on regardless of how out-of-control it may seem like it is Amen, lay before the Lord this weekend and just I went to so many different scriptures trying to find the place you wanted me in and then I finally just kind of got still and quiet in the Lord led me to such a truth and I trust that this morning as we as we true if we Feast on this truth contained in his word. Amen that that you leave here. exuberant over the truth that's in it. amen, amen Let's read it. We just going to wait a couple of verses in the 46 chapter of the book of Isaiah.

God's word says

Remember this and show yourselves men? Bring it again to mind OU transgressors. Remember the former things of old for I am God and there is none else. Can you repeat that? He says I am God and there is nobody like me.

The mini lets us in on a little insight about this. Nobody like me coming. Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done saying my counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasure father. We thank you for your word. I think you for each one that's in your house today. We thank you Lord for the singing and how we Rejoice today knowing that nobody loves us. Like you do Lord knowing that we can have Victory Lord knowing that there's still Power in the Blood today and and I just Rejoice to be one of yours today Lord and just thank you and and may you undertake for all the prayer requests and may you anoint the reading of your word is my prayer today in the name of Jesus. Amen in the church says amen and amen and I made the comment that About about some things about our country today in and let me say this is morning. I'm not pissing tried off and you know word of Prophecy nothing like that. I am not fixing to try to tell you that I understand everything and I know the the the each step that things are going to take but I don't want to do I do want to point out something Amen to you today. God is a plan having God. God is in action taking God. Amen, God is an endpoint intentional arriving God and what I mean by that is at no point in time in his being has he ever sit back and said, well, I wonder where this thing is going to wind up at. No, ma'am. He has a destination. He has a plan and he has a desired place to be in and we might read about it. It's over the 21st chapter The Book of Revelation by the way men, have you read the end of the book my friend before we go over there though. I like I like the reading we got into this morning. And and I love what he said. He would he said for the second time that I am God and besides me there is nobody else. There's nobody like me and then he lets us know. There's something about him that he wants us to realize and he says this he said McCleary. Amen, the things that are at the end from the beginning What did he mean by that freezer what he meant by that was he said at the at the very onset of this thing called life. I've already said where is going to wind up at? Amen, and I think I'm going to tell you today friend. But you realize today a man that in all of man's wickedness and I want to tell you just real quickly about the wickedness of mankind and and and I'm not necessarily want to go over into the the Middle East. We got to go look there today, but I'm done by lunch designation us as a country today us as a place that was founded and built upon some foundations that some some some Christian Brothers sailed across the pond to get away from persecution that they might Worship in spirit and in truth, they found a place and they did this thing they wanted to do in the way they want to do it. They called it America. Somewhere along the lines though. We've got two men from riches and we like that. We not use a political this morning. No, sir. I was spiritual covers political. Amen, and so weak we've come to the place now. I want you to just think about it and when I say wizard people I'm not talkin about you. I'm talking about us as American. We've come to a place where there is. There's no consideration for for the well-being of your neighbor anymore. We've come to the please a man. We're being offended overrides the pursuit of life liberty and justice. We've come to the place a man wear.

She's got the lowest one in here today. So I'm going to look at that one and it ate a few days ago. I can remember the first gum ever. First time. She brought that little bundle of joy in the church and y'all didn't listen to nothing the preacher preach cuz y'all was all too busy moving and all I I was too I'll be honest but we've come through I will come to a place as a country where not only are we okay with doing it? I want you to think about this world came with walking up and down the street with a sign that says Kill Em All I don't like that this morning Preacher. What where have you been? Is Manhattan?

We're at a place today in I hate it. But I mean one of them one of the biggest religious figures and I'm on a title him that way and I'm not going to go any further but one of the biggest religious figures across this land. Just said that homosexual marriage is to be recognized by the church.

Now it's a mess.

And I can stand up here in a rant and Rave and foam at the mouth to the point that I'm spitting on people on that for throat over there the rest of the service.

But I want to add this right now.

What do you think God thinks about it?

God has really chastise me over about the last month.

And he's really caused me to look deep into the purpose of my prayer life.

Cuz I've been praying so hard Lord. Turn this thing around Lord, right this ship Lord. Get people's attention Lord make this thing work the way I want it to end up. And the other brothers been praying. But I realized something.

When you look at the the nation of Israel. God's chosen people

There came a day. Where are they?

Forgot all he had done for him. There came a day where they begin. worshipping false gods

there came a day where they began to reject. the one true God

Easton on profits both minor and major He sent on. example after example

He did everything he could do to get their attention. And the nation of Israel reminded you of a teenage kid that you've told quit driving so fast. But they know it all and next thing. You know, what happens to they get in a wreck. Because they just wouldn't listen Israel got in the wreck. matter of fact

they got in such a wreck that as a nation on stay with me this morning as a nation. They not only gotten defeated and there was a day and time when they were the baddest country on this planet. powerful They not only got defeated as a nation. They got called off and got turned into school slaves.

And I'm sure.

That ass that thing very cusp of being unfolded that there were probably people pray Lord. Don't let us get hold off into captivity because I don't think that every one of them was bad. I know they wasn't because when you get in the word when they're hold off into captivity, they seem still some good guy.

That are still open media to it. We see Daniel. with the others that God uses and what they still got hauled off into captivity, but here's the thing about them being hauled off into captivity and God never had this from a it was temporary.

It was there to bring them back to him. To serve as a reminder.

That no. No this this guy you called mail. He doesn't even exist.

The things of Molag Bal all these other religious none of them exist. Do you realize today? There's actually not even there's no such thing as a false god.

What's come over you looking at me? Like wait a minute. What about the golden calf? It was a piece of gold. Stop playing wouldn't know God. We wanted to call it 1. Invasion and all these other be crazy out there. You you look at Egyptian culture man. They had a God for everything that was a statue that was a hybrid of a turtle of snake and a monkey all morph into one and they called it and God. It was something made up in a man's Manning and garden standing here in the book of Isaiah. Ain't no other God.

And there is not another one. It's so for the children of Israel. They just they just couldn't stay focused on that. So goddamn with them. And it was a temporary kind of like well when my mama used to whip me, I swore that was permanent. I mean, I mean play she was and we're going to stop and it was like it was like Mama had a built that was 12 feet long and it had it hooks in it that tired of Flesh from your body. I mean, it was horrible or seems like it. But I guess what?

It happened with my best interest at heart. It was temporary.

And the magnitude in which the lesson? Was embraced was depending on me. And no so today I can stand there and say I learned some great lessons from my mom's excellent teaching skills.

And I can tell you I learned some lessons that my mom had to teach me more than once. Lord help me and so for the for the Israelites

that captivity thing was temporary.

And if you look at Israel today, do you know what you see? You see a nation again?

This got their own country again.

That's a proud people once again.

Sometimes preachers like me gets so caught up. I was trying to stop this runaway train that we forget a maybe God is letting some things happen. So this train will fly off the tracks and get the people to turn back to him one more time.

Man, I think about the Israelites there. They are in downtown Egypt. It's after bedtime through Moses. God has sent word this the last player. I'm going to send button by midnight the death Angels going to pass across the line.

And if the blood is applied over the doorposts of your house, you will be safe. But if it's not the first born male, son of that household his life. I will require that night and I don't know about y'all, but I promise you they was not sitting back watching MTV Orville Redenbacher popcorn. No, it was dark. It was quite there was a great sense of anticipation going on and and and I don't know just the sound of when the death angel move across the land if there was any of y'all would guess what there was a sound that went out that night. You know what that sound was it started off with one Mama that started screaming when she grab that child and then there was no breath in him and then all of a sudden I mean it in begin to light up around Egypt and I don't know how many miles away you could have been hearing the cries of the people in and if I'm an Israelite there that night guess what I just was not a place I want to be into is it scary is fearful it is is troublesome. There's people hurting amen, but I'm able to to hold on I'm able to hold fast because I did what he said do I went out then made no sense, but I went out and actually put some blood. Cross the doorpost to my house and glory be to God when he sent judgement arway. Amen my household. Ride a man and in so when I read in this world, I almost look back here with me one second. Would you please and I can't burst in the beginning. He said I'm declaring the end from the beginning information X the things are that are not yet done saying my counsel's too shall stand and I will do all my pleasure. Do you believe today that wants going on a men in this country that we live in today and across this land has gone Amen in front of God himself and he has said this is how I want this thing to go. This is how I want this thick matter fact, he tells me and Isaiah are not only am I speaking these things to be but I'm doing this out of my own good pleasure. Amen. And when you realize and when I realized amen that what we see is part of God's plan, they should have seen a man of Peace come over you're in my heart because God is going to work it to the good for his people. God is going to work it. Amen to get others people. Attention that they might to come to know him and got him going to work at to get you and I I said that he wasn't intentional. Amen Focus driven God's to get you and I were we need to be nice. I know you may not believe me today turn with me to the Book of Revelation chapter 1. I'm sorry 21 or we can start with one if you don't want to I don't maybe we go through 1 through 21.

I'm going to say I'll give you excited about the things of God because the things of God are greater than the things a man. I get excited about the promises of God because the promises of God are stronger than the promises of men. Amen. I get excited about the focus of God because the focus of God Is So greater than than the focus of me to uplift or even tear down. The God that I serve, how about you? So long now, that was beautiful.

He said he said from the very beginning. I spoke of I spoke all this that's going to happen even at the end.

in Revelation 21

and I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth for the first Heaven and the first Earth were passed away and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city New Jerusalem coming down from God out of Heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband and I heard a great voice. Of Heaven saying behold the Tabernacle of God is with men and he shall dwell with them and they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them and be their God and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death neither sorrow nor crying. Neither. Shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away and he that sat upon the throne said behold for I love this. I make all things new and he said unto me right for these words are true and faithful and he said unto me it is done. I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end and I will give unto him that is athirst of the Fountain of the Water of Life freely. I don't know about you but Cooks my cornbread everything man. And even what we see going on today, I'm not a prophet, but I'm going to be I'm going to be this mold in his word even what we see happening today. Has gone by him.

And he's put his stamp of. This is part of my plan on it. NM through this we are still embarking on our journey to Revelation 21 Oh man, I'm glad I serve a God. That's a god of purpose. I'm glad I serve a God that has a plan. I don't know about y'all the way too many people don't have a plan. Amen way too many way too many people just winging this thing and let the chips fall where they may not this God that we serve a man that I liked what he said one last time and Isaiah when he said from the very beginning. I spoke the words of the End Amen. So guess what does hang on and make it to the end and I'm going to go back to something old brother James Burrell Williams did one time he brought me a handkerchief. I've shared it with some of your some of you ain't heard it this morning and it was October it was Pastor appreciation month in. And oh brother James bro. He was he was a little vocal on some things in it and I can come up to me. So I don't want I want to talk to you and I'm saying man, here we go boy. and he pulled out the small box and he handed me having a small box about the size of a wallet holding it up and it's a white handkerchief folded up in it and in or not, I appreciated it and blah blah blah wine and went on home and Couple of weeks later actually, I took it out of the boxing and it was folded up. So you can't you didn't see the words. It just looks like a white hangers. And I folded and unfolded it in and I look and if it got my attention because it had a picture and you know, I'm a picture person. I don't like working boots with words like pictures. Hey, I'm not just do better like this. Y'all know what my book reports consisted of in. I mean when you do a book report on dr. Seuss in the 12th grade AC problem. Is so I unfold that thing in there is this car and all the tires are flat and the hood is raised up the headlights or busted but all the winds windshield and windows are busted out of it. And I mean, it looks like a wreck and in the hood is raised and their steam blowing out the radiator and and I know you're looking at me like a man who must not have liked you on the contrary great man in a known it it said this it said my goal is not to arrive safe and intact in heaven, but it's rather to come in sliding sideways on 4th screaming Hallelujah water ride a man and I tell you what we on the ride. Will arise with the beauty of this ride grown and we already read the end of the walking we know where we're going to wind up at so glory to God don't let your face be pulled down.
