The Bible is the story of the Kingdom of God on the earth

Matthew 12:27–28 (KJV 1900)

28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

Jesus said "Since I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then know for shure the kingdom of God has come."

Part I- Main Clause- "Since the Kingdom of God has already come, You must enter by the door"

Part 2- Main Clause- "Since the Kingdom of God has already come, we should no longer live like we are the kingdom of this world"

John 10

Adam and ever were shut out of the Kingdom of God...

I. Paradise lost- Adam and Eve cast out of the kingdom the kingdom of God is taken away.

Genesis 3:22–24 (KJV 1900)

22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

II. The nations choose to worship angels and the heavens and are cast aside by God at Babel...

III. God makes a new nation with Abraham by which He will reclaim the nations of the earth to himself...

IV. After Abraham, men begin to seek for the kingdom of God.

V. After the rejection of Israel, Abraham's seed, God remains silent for 400 years.

VI. After 400 years of silence, God announces the return of the kingdom of God on the earth.

John the Baptist came heralding the Kingdom of God, and on the day of John's announcement we visibly see the Holy Spirit decend upon Jesus and remain upon him. This occasion begins the 3 1/2 year ministry of Jesus.

Acts 8:12 (KJV 1900)

12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Matthew 6:32–34 (KJV 1900) Seeking an earthly kingdom...

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Rather seek a heavenly kingdom...

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

VII. The kingdom of God on earth was lost because mankind distrusted the Word of God, but the kingdom of God is restored to the earth because men put their trust in the Word of God...

In the book of Hebrews we see story of the kingdom of God sought by those who put their trust in God by faith....

Hebrews 11:1–40 (KJV 1900)

VII. The kingdom of God is restored to the earth by faith in the Gospel...

The presence of the Kingdom is connected to the Gospel. The kingdom parables are about receiving the Gospel.

Colossians 1:3–8 (KJV 1900)

3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, 5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: 7 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; 8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

Jesus said "unless you are born again, you can not see the kingdom of heaven."

John 1:6–13 (KJV 1900)

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; 24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church: 25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

X. The kingdom of God is here, how will you respond to God's offer of the kingdom of God to you today?

Jesus described the coming of the kingdom of God plainly in the Kingdom Parables of Matthew 13...

Matthew 13:36–50 (KJV 1900)

36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth

that field.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. 49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Conclusion:

This morning the seed of the Gospel of Salvation by faith in Jesus has been sown in your heart by the Holy Spirit of God as you have listen to the preaching of God's Word. How will you respond?

Will you remain a citizen of the kingdoms of this present world, or will you choose to enter the kingdom of God by faith in Jesus Christ?

Will you rejoice because you have found the Kindom of God like a hidden treasure in a field, or will you pass the treasure of the Kingdom of God by, and just continue on your way in life?

Will you sell out to gain that pearl of Great price, the Gospel of the Kingdom, or will you hold tight to your own little kingdom that you have created for yourself in this word.

When you get caught up in that great dragnet of the Judgment day, will you be that Good vessell, who enters into the kingdom of God, or will you be that one who is cast away into the furnace of fire where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth?
