Something Has To Change (Verse 35)

Matthew 9:35 ESV

And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.

“The Kingdom of God is His rule, His plan, and His program.”

“We want God to okay our plans rather than our fulfilling His plans. We want God to bring us glory rather than our bringing Him glory. But it doesn’t work that way. God has only one plan—His kingdom agenda. We need to find out what that is so we can make sure we’re working on God’s plan, not ours.”

God’s Will vs. My Will

So when we talk about a kingdom, we’re talking first about a king or a ruler, the one in charge. Now if there is a ruler, there also have to be “rulees,” or kingdom subjects. In addition, a kingdom includes a realm; that is, a domain over which the king rules. Finally, a kingdom also needs regulations, guidelines that govern the relationship between the ruler and the subjects. These are necessary so that the subjects will know whether they are doing what the ruler wants done.”

“Something Has To Change”

Who is truly King over your life?

Who is the one really in charge?

Matthew 6:33 ESV

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Seek: to try to get or reach something one desires.

The first step… Is having a desire to build or strengthen your relationship with the King!

How can I please someone that I don’t know?

I can’t move through the kingdom and not know the king of the Kingdom

I want the Kings stuff but not the King

His Land

His Resources

His Benefits

His Money

But Not Him!

Seeking Him is based on your desire for Him!

But if If my desire is all over the place my Will is all over the place.

So when I pray… I’m praying according to me not Him!

When I think of how I spend my time is according to me not Him!

When I thing about how I spend my money is according to me not Him!

Seek! A desire to know the King

A passion to develop my relationship!

When you’re confident with your content, You want have a problem proclaiming…

Before we go deeper about the Kingdom, ask yourself do I really know the King?

Jesus was confident in His assignment proclaiming the Kingdom of God so he know problem “teaching.”

He had know problem “going”

“Growing means Going”

When he went - He healed diseases and afflictions

People need us!!!

People need healing / People are afflicted / People are Hurting / People Are Broken

But if the Kingdom is not on your agenda!

That means our agenda is what we are trying to fulfill .

Our agenda is self focused and Selective.

Going looks so much different when you know the one who sent you.
