Outline:

 Jesus teaches how to pray…

1. Verse 7- Don't pray like the heathen- "empy repetitions", keep your prayers short and to the point.

2. Verse 8- God already knows what you need before you ask. Don't worry about missing something.

3. Verse 9- Pray to the Father in Heaven.

4. Verse 9- Pray acknowledging his holiness.

5. Verse 10- Pray for the kingdom of Heaven to come.

6. Verse 10- Pray that the Father's will is done on earth the same way that it is in Heaven.

7. Verse 11- Ask the father to give you your daily food. This is a very general request.

8. Verse 12- Ask the father to forgive our debts to him.

9. Verse 12- Make sure you forgiven anyone who is in debit to you.

10. Verse 13- Ask the father to keep you from the temptations by Satan. Ask to be delivered from Satan.

11. Verse 13- Acknowledge the sovereign rule of the Father and his sovereign power over us and Satan.

12. Verse 13- Acknowledge that the glory of the Father is greater that Satan and always will be.
