1 John 3:20-24

A new assurance

1 John 3:19–20 NASB95

19 We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him 20 in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things.

19. The life that we are living in love, and in Christ. we know that we are in Him, by the life that we are living, in loving one another.

20. When we are in doubt about were we stand with Him.

sometimes we can see our failings, and the times that we have become short.

We are guilty of falling into our own guilt.

But even as our hearts condemn us. we have a God that knows all things, and is greater then our own thoughts, even about our own selves

1 John 3:21 NASB95

21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;

If we set our minds and hearts on God, knowing that he is in complete control and is greater then our hearts and knows everything. We will be able to come to God in confidence.

The truth of God will give us assurance. as we live in His truth.

1 John 3:22 NASB95

22 and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
