I. God calls us vs 1-2

A. We are called to a task
A task of great importance
we are being tested to show our loyalty
2. A task that seems impossible
a task we can not do on our own
3. A task that seems unreasonable.
A task we can seem to carry out , because of the pain.
B. The task was set and we must obey.
Sent to the land of Moriah a journey of 2 day
2 days of torment and anguish of the task at hand
2. to burn and sacrifice your only son to God
but to tell me where later?

II.The Journey of a lifetime Vs 3-6

A. To show no hesitation in our decision to go.
to leave without question, to not even question out loud.
the anguish, the pain to load the donkey the weight of the equipment must felt like a 1000 pounds
2. the journey was only 2 days, but it took three he’s destination was near
hes feet seem to feel like concert.
3. they prayer of a father out loud we will come back
the belief whether or not Issac would die , he knew he would return.
4. the walk up the mount just the 2 of them.
the feeling of loss must of been unbearable.

III. TEST OF OUR BELIEF vs 7-10

A. The questions of what is truly on our hearts
questioning our motives when they know the routine
why does it seem when we are at our lowest someone has to question why we are doing something
2. unwavering faith in a promise.
to believe with out question that God will keep his promise
3. to carry out every detail without question.
his burden of his task at this time must of been great.
4. to make the final step to show our loyalty, the leap
he must have had tears of sorrow

IV. God does Provide Vs 10 -14

A. Gods show Grace and mercy
The angel tells him to stop
can we finish our task he has asked us to do?
2. The show of unwavering faith .
He showed he truly trusted in God and trusted even the thing he loved the most his son.
3. God provide the sacrifice
He provides a replacement for us
He shows us grace
he wants us to make a choice to let him provide for us.
Conclusion:
as we have seen at the end God provided a way for Abraham to keep his son, God provided a substitute for Isaac. God has provided a substitute for your sinful life as well. you see just like Issac , our lives and our choices in life will eventually end us up in death, we are all going to die , but the point of this is where are you going when you die, Do you know? God has given us an advocate for our sins and it is Jesus Christ let Him provide the answers you are looking for. Come.
