Maintain your altitude!

Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

What does that mean?

Don’t respond to things that don’t bring glory to God or the kingdom of God.

Please understand, I am not saying that we should barry our heads in the sand, or not speak truth to power. We all have a responsibility to exercise that right when something is wrong.

What you did on November 3rd by voting was your direct action, Voting as we see has more long lasting impact then trying to convince or change the hearts of individuals, through what we post or repost on social media.

Exercising our right and Voting is fruitfulComplaining about the conditions of the world is unfruitful

Its unfruitful….

I learned early on as a Pastor that I don’t have the power to change anyones heart but God can.

To many times we are trying through the social media platforms to convince people that there is a problem.

If my conclusion is that God has the power to change mens heart I must find out from God what I should be doing.

The real fight is between:

Evil and Good

Darkness and light

As believers we are children of light not darkness

(Romans 12:21)

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

God says, “Do not be overcome by evil”(Darkness)

Dont become what you are fighting against

The bible teaches us in

Matthew 5:14-16

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Walking in the light brings glory to God and his kingdom

Michelle Obama said something 4 years ago that has biblical implications

She said when they go low, We go high

Love for Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’

44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?

47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?

48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Please understand that slithering snake cannot handle the altitude of the soaring eagle.

The nest of the snake is a bunch of snakes tangled and intertwined together

But the eagle flies alone.

Your will not see a pigeons flying with an eagle

That is why when you are locked into the will of God you feel alone at times, its because your an eagle not a snake.

They go low,

That is were the snakes are

We go high

That is where the eagle are

The Eagle represents power and strength.

As eagles God has given us power to soar above the hate, evil and darkness of the slithering snake.

As long as you maintain altitude you never have to worry about the slithering snake.

Eagles eat snakes!

Remember that good will always trump evil

Light will always be greater than darkness
