Life is Like a Barrel of Monkey’s
Greedy Monkey,
There was this mischievous monkey, that ran loose in a town getting into peoples houses and stealing food.
No matter what the towns people did, they couldn’t capture the little monkey. One day a towns person came up with an idea to capture him.
The man took a glass jar with a small opening, placed peanuts inside, and left it outside. The little monkey found the jar and thought he hit the jackpot.
He place his hand in the jar to get the peanuts, but with a closed fist he couldn't get his hand out. Not wanting to like go of his jackpot of peanuts, he was captured.
In a way Christians are like the little monkey, we want to be so much like the world, we refuse to unclench our fist to serve God.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
We all have problems, letting go of the things of the world.
There are things that we don’t want to give up.
Pride
Our Lives.
Gossip
Greed
Time
Our Problems
Hatred
And they're many others that we carry with us and don’t want to turnover to God.
Not letting go and following the Lord, can make you physically, mentally, and spiritually sick.
When we get a way from God, we can become so, sick physically, depressed, that our spiritual becomes effected.
You can’t sleep.
You can’t eat.
You sometime get where you don’t even want to leave the house, because you are so, stressed, and weary.
We think God, turned His back on us.
God will never leave us or forsake us,
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
We, are the ones that leaves God’s will,
We, are the ones that turn their backs on God,
God has not, or ever will change.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
The key words here is (NO) and (NEITHER)
Variableness means - Changing or changeable.
Shadow of Turning - means to change directions.
We see in God there is No variableness,
Neither shadow changing. In other words He doesn’t change His direction.
We are responsible for the way God treats us and answering our prayers.
Are you tired of dragging all those monkeys around with you, wearing you out.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Jesus to come to Him when you are weary.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
