Intro

we live in a world where we as humans want to make all of our decisions.
we live in a world where we are in control of our own lives
we live in a world that is hateful to one another.
in the grammar of the ancient Greek text, remind is in the present tense: “Go on reminding.” Titus was to constantly remind the Christians under his care to show proper respect and humility towards all people, particularly those in a position of authority.

Submit to Authority Vs 1

We see this same command from Paul in Romans 13:1
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Romans 13:1
So you are saying can someone who is a baby killer be ordained by God to be in authority? yes
the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
Nebuchadnezzar was one of those authorities also Constantine.
if they tell us to do something that would be against God then we are to stand for God.

Speak No Evil VS 2

to not slander
Slander- to slander v. — to charge falsely or with malicious intent; attack the good name and reputation of someone.
we can be like the world and we can bash people, but God calls us to a higher road.
this doesn't mean i don't call someone out when they are wrong.
It means i do so with love and compassion and only with scripture.

Sinners of all sinners VS 3

we were just like the people who we slander and tear down
all sins are the same. the problem is we forget that when we talk about unsaved folks.

lacking good sense or judgement

failing or refusing to be obedient.

deceived- our eyes had scales on them. we could not see.
dead in trespasses and sin Ephesians 2:1-2
SAVED BY GRACE VS 4,5
we have to remember is was nothing in ourselves that Saved us.
It was the Grace of God.
We have to remember that God didn't have to save us. because we in our sinful state deserved Hell.
for the wages of sin is death
so If he loved you enough despite all of your wickedness, what makes you think He doesn't Love the person you are slandering and downgrading?
Conclusion Vs 6-8
we should be careful and do Good works.
if we are saved it doesn't mean we can go around hating everyone who is not.
we have to be imitators of God.
