A Mission with special Provision, a Stipulation, and a Great Vision
I. The Church has been given a mission to accomplish.
Mark 16:15–18 (KJV 1900)
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
II. The Church has been given a provision to accomplish the mission:
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
John 15:16 (KJV 1900)
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Psalm 84:11 (KJV 1900)
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: The Lord will give grace and glory: No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Proverbs 3:27 (KJV 1900)
27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, When it is in the power of thine hand to do
it.
III. The Church has been given a stipulation to the provision in order to accomplish the mission.
Malachi 3:10–11 (KJV 1900)
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be meat in mine house, And prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, If I will not open you the windows of heaven, And pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, And he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; Neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
IV. The church has been given special permission to accomplish the mission by having an unlimited vision.
Proverbs 29:17–18 (KJV 1900)
18 Where there is no vision, the people perish:
Isaiah 54:1–4 (KJV 1900)
Enlarge the place of thy tent, And let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: Spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; 3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; And thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, And make the desolate cities to be inhabited. 4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: Neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: For thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, And shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
