Jesus Drives Out an Impure Spirit

31 Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he taught the people. 32 They were amazed at his teaching, because his words had authority.

Jesus because his words had authority

4:32 Preaching—Jesus Christ, Teaching of: Jesus taught in the morning worship service with authority. His teaching was not ordinary, not the kind of teaching the people were used to hearing. They were astonished at His doctrine. It was what He taught that astounded them: “His word was with power.”

⇒ His Word had authority, the authority of God’s Spirit.

Jesus left Nazareth for Capernaum and there He set up His “headquarters.” Each Sabbath Day, He taught in the synagogue
