Matt. 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.”
Jesus looked over the crowd and declared to his disciples. They were not made after hearing his message; his message to them was, “this is who they are”
to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
God’s has given some discernment of spirits. It is the ability to see the root of a persons’ life and behavior.
Pastor’s study people. We speak to their lives. We speak hope, forgiveness, love, grace, mercy, peace and love.
I am always looking for the seed of God and Christ in people. It does not matter what church, denomination, background or history. Deep calleth unto deep…. I believe the deep things of man cry out for the deep things of God.
I know Steve’s spirit. I knew him before I became a preach and pastor....
Mother Marion is a movie star at Morning Star...
He encouraged the change in my life when I was in the music business.
He accepted God’s forgiveness of sin under my ministry.
Steve was a peacemaker
His calm spirit
His patience
He spoke to me about some of his struggles and I knew about his faith in God.
Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
The prophet Amos asked a question, “Do horses gallop on the cliffs? Does one plan the sea with oxen?”
Meaning, Does it make sense to break the laws of nature?
You cannot change the nature of a good man.
The Lord makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him;
though he may stumble, he will not fall,
for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
If a man’s heart is good and he is open to heaven and shows love on earth, then do expect wrath to come upon the children of God when Jesus died for their sins.
James: 1:20, “The Wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”
The Lord prepared him to suffer sickness.
Understanding sickness in light of God’s grace
It was good for me to be afflicted
so that I might learn your decrees.
or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
