A Random Story Or Something More?
A Random Story Or Something More?
There are so many things to talk about in this text, but today we are going to focus on the most basic meanings of the Text.
This text should bring a bunch of questions to mind. Why did Jesus take the man out of the village?
Why did he not heal him the first time? Why did he ask him if he could see anything? Did Jesus not know? Was Jesus suddenly unsure of His ability to heal? Did Jesus take him out of the village because he was low on Spiritual Mojo?
NO! We know that most of these conclusions are extremely unlikely, so HOW ARE WE supposed to know why it happened like this?
Do You See Anything?
Do You See Anything?
Heres is what we know. There is a Blind man in need of healing brought to him by the villagers.
Jesus takes him from the village and starts doing his Jesus thing!
Jesus lays his hands on the man two times, One Time he says he sees, but that people look like trees, but the second time the Bible says his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly!
So What Are We Missing?

The Book of Mark is a narrative. That means its a story. Things that happen in it are interconnected to give us a whole picture of the story. No one story by itself gives us the entirety of the picture.
