The Bible has been translated Into many known languages

And yet following the Rapture, there will be multitudes who have rejected the Bible and its message.

Jesus said:

Matthew 24:14 NKJV

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

What Jesus is saying here, everyone will hear his message and have the opportunity to receive salvation before they die or take the mark of the beast.

As we have learned so far God’s judgments during the tribulation Will fall like Weapons of Mass Destruction dropping to the earth

The topic of our lesson this morning is entitled

144,000 Who are they?

I need to hear from all of you this morning!

Let’s take a look at some of the answers that you given

Let me begin with

Holding Back The Wind

Revelation 7:1 NKJV

1 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.

After the first 6 seals are opened

4 angels will stand at the earth 4 corners to prevent any wind from blowing - These were angels of judgment

This means the Angels will be standing at the 4 points of the compass (North, South, East, and West)

Without these angels, the airborne plagues from the previous seals will spread around the world.

The Angel From The East

Revelation 7:2 NKJV

2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,

The East symbolizes the source of blessing

The seal is the invisible sign of God’s protection, not from the tribulation and death but from God’s wrath

Let me remind you that in the book of Ezekiel the wicked were slain

Ezekiel 9:4–6 NKJV

4 and the Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.” 5 To the others He said in my hearing, “Go after him through the city and kill; do not let your eye spare, nor have any pity. 6 Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple.

Let me explain the seal

Ephesians 1:13 NKJV

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

All Christians believe in angels

They play a prominent role in God’s plan for mankind

This is definitely true when we talk about Jesus and the judgments of Revelation

Angels are divided into categories or ranks.

There are 5 types of angels

Archangels, cherubim, Seraphim, the living creatures, and common angels.

Some are higher than others

And some serve Satan and not God

We do not know who this angel from the East is

But we do know, that he will have authority over the other four angels.

He will have the seal of the living God in his hand and it will be used to mark a group of special messengers.

Let’s talk about

The Mark of God

Revelation 7:3 NKJV

3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

The 4 angels will be commanded to hold back their destructive forces until God’s servants can be sealed.

Nothing will happen to the land, sea, or trees until these special messengers are protected

The Bible doesn’t say what the seal will be

Only that these believers will be protected by some type of mark

God has been marking his people since the beginning of creation

God’s mark will be placed on their foreheads, it will be an actual mark that will show others that these are God’s people

Dennis Pollock - Nowhere in the Scriptures are we given a picture of a God who contemplates his creation with an unruffled, distant, purely logical view. The God of the Bible is an emotional God—he rejoices, he becomes grieved, he takes delight in his people, and he becomes very angry when his creatures default, rebel against the commands he has given them.

Finally we get to the

144,000

Revelation 7:4–8 NKJV

4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed: 5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed; 6 of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed; 7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed; 8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.

God will seal 144,000 of His servants

But they will not come from the church or any particular denomination

Instead they will come from the 12 tribes of Israel - the Jews

The tribe of Dan and Ephraim will be left out (most believe because of idolatry)Him

The tribes of Levi and Joseph will be added to make the 12 tribes of the tribulation.

Israel’s researchers using DNA has identified The tribes some Jews belonged to.

Jews from every tribe have been found

Even though Scripture is clear, some people still want to spiritualize them

The Jehovah Witnesses For example refer to the 144,000 As members of the church.

But Scripture clearly states that the hundred 144.000 will come from the 12 tribes of Israel. Which excludes all Gentiles.

David Reagan - What would God have to do to convince us that He is speaking about 144,000 Jews? He says they are Jews. Specifically, He calls them, “the sons of Israel” (Rev. 7:4). He even enumerates them by their tribes, stating that 12,000 will come from each tribe. Does He need to put a flashing neon sign in the sky that says, “I’m talking about Jews!”?

In my introduction I stated
