SFC During Covid-19

This was a year in which there was a lot of anxiety was going around about whether Sheaves For Christ would have near the amount it normally does.

Churches and people were working through the coronavirus problems.

How do you fundraise when you can’t really be around people???

SFC Fundraising actually started before churches ever came back together this year.

Questions were coming up, like:

“Are we going to have to cut some of our funding for North American Youth Congress, or State Church Camps?”

“Are we going to have to go to Tupelo Children’s Mansion and hand them a check for half as much as we normally do?”

“Are our churches going to be able to even do an SFC fundraiser, when many people aren’t making the money they were now, and are doing all they can just to support their local church?”

These are questions that weighed heavily on my mind this year, along with the rest of the AR District Youth Committee.

But I want to tell you that GOD PROVIDES.

GOD PROVIDES for his church.

This church is blessed! And as this church is blessed, we’re going to BLESS!

Total SFC in 2020 worldwide: $5,254,682.94 - 4th largest offering in history!

For perspective:

In 2017: $1,448.15

In 2018: $2,708.35

In 2019: $4,724.47

And in 2020: $5,500.00!!!

This places us as the #1 giving church in Section 9, for the first time in at least many, many years.

And listen to this: I’m going to read to you the list of top giving churches in AR (and there are MANY UPCI churches):

Ladies and Gentlemen, that is something to be proud of!

And there’s just one more thing...

If all of that’s not enough, a couple of weeks ago, Pastor pulled me to the side here at the church and showed me something very, very special.

This is an absolutely beautiful plaque that our church received in the mail from the Headquarters of the United Pentecostal Church near St. Louis. It came with a letter from the Youth Ministries President, congratulating us on an incredible year.
