Vision
Vision
Groups that serve together endure together.
The Church is a family first before anything else. We have been united to one another by the blood of Christ. We are literally the ‘body’ of Christ.
We are one body, filled by one spirit, called to One Lord and on One Mission to bring the One Hope of Jesus Christ to the City, Nations and Generations.
God gave us gifts to fulfill this mission
Romans 12
4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Uniquely Gifted
Uniquely Gifted
You have been uniquely gifted by God to carry forward his mission in a way that only you can. At One Hope we are enthusiastic about helping people walk the path that the Lord has laid for them.
How we grow.
How we grow.
We believe at One Hope that people grow through God’s Word, God’s Spirit and God’s people. These three elements are present in our community groups that meet all throughout the week in various places and various times.
These elements are also present in our Sunday Worship Services. And we believe in the power of Corporate Worship. That God shows up in a powerful way through the preaching of his word, the praising of his name, the partaking of community and providing for one another through acts of service.
In many ways, our groups function as ‘c’ churches all throughout the week.
One element that is often missing in our groups is the ability to serve together.
GroupServe
GroupServe
We believe that groups that serve together endure together.
When we have a common purpose, a common goal and we can rally around it together it strengthens our community.
We are passionate about biblical community here at one hope church.
This is the vision behind the idea of groupserve.
When Elise and I got married we had an amazing experience. The bridal party was hard at work the night before bringing the experience together and on the day of we all felt the joy of a community effort to celebrate God’s work.
This is the idea behind group serve.
Groups can come and serve together to make a Sunday Morning service happen and rejoice in the Lord’s Work being done together. Our groups can serve together, pray together and worship together.
Sign up to serve as a group together at “ .” We’d love to have each group owning one sunday a month and experiencing the joy of a job well done.
Gal 6:10, calls us to serve one another as we have opportunity, esp. of the household of God. This is an opportunity to live this verse out.
10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
You can sign up here.
How it works:
How it works:
We are having at least two groups sign up to own each sunday.
You can sign up at this site
You will be contacted by Meghan with details for that Sunday
As a group (or groups) on that Sunday you can show up at 8am to help setup and teardown and be assigned greeting/ushering roles and then serve together.
For each role we will have trained lead volunteers to show you the way and help fulfill each particular role.
They will lead you in opening prayer, role descriptions, assignments and anything else needed.
I’m really excited about the prospect of serving and growing together.
Groups that serve together, endure together.
