The vision that Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:

2 In the last days

the mountain of the LORD’s house will be established

at the top of the mountains

and will be raised above the hills.

All nations will stream to it,

3 and many peoples will come and say,

“Come, let’s go up to the mountain of the LORD,

to the house of the God of Jacob.

He will teach us about his ways

so that we may walk in his paths.”

For instruction will go out of Zion

and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4 He will settle disputes among the nations

and provide arbitration for many peoples.

They will beat their swords into plows

and their spears into pruning knives.

Nation will not take up the sword against nation,

and they will never again train for war.

Those of you that have seen the horror of war firs hand understand this promise and hope in a much deeper way than I could ever. The hope and promise that one day Jesus will return and will restore this broken world. This brokenness caused by sin. According to scripture man violated God’s laws. Since sin is man’s problem by a man it had to be paid for. So Christ became man and took our place and punishment so for those who will repent and trust in Him they too can be made right with God and have this hope that one day all things will be made right again.
