7 KEY PROMISES OF GOD TO MAN
1. Philippians 4:19 (AV)
19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The word need there is the Greek word Chreias and means personal need, necessity. God is in the business of providing, suppling all of our needs and necessities.
2. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (AV)
9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)
9Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
Paul writes this verse inspired by the Lord. He was suffering from this thorn in his flesh. He speaks of his infirmities. The Greek word is asthenes and it means weak, sick. Paul was not healed and still had this weakness. Why because God was using Paul and he had to rely on Jesus for everything. God’s grace was sufficient to carry Paul and it is strong enough to carry you.
Ephesians 2:8 (AV)
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Romans 5:2 (NLT)
2Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
God’s grace is still working and is still more than good enough to save, stand, and walk in God’s glory.
3. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT)
13The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
We will not be tempted beyond what we can escape or not yield to.
Jude 24–25 (AV)
24Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Daniel 6:16 (AV)
16Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
And Daniel did not renounce the Lord and God made a way to shut the mouths of the lions.
4. 1 Corinthians 15:57 (NLT)
57But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:3–4 (AV)
3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
The resurrected power that was given to Jesus is given to us. When we were dead in our trespasses and sin God resurrected us to life. We have the promise of life and life more abundantly in Him.
5. Romans 8:28 (AV)
28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Ephesians 1:11 (AV)
11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
All things work for our good.
6. Mark 16:16 (AV)
16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Acts 2:38 (NLT)
38Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We have the promise of forgiveness and salvation from God through Jesus Christ.
7. John 10:27–28 (AV)
27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
We have the promise of eternal life.
8. Romans 8:1 (AV)
1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
We have victory over sin and we have forgiveness.
9. Philippians 4:6–7 (NLT) 6Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
7Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
God’s promise is to answer our prayers.
10. 1 Corinthians 3:16 (AV)16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Acts 2:38 (NLT) 38Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We have the promise of the Holy Spirit for our lives.
11. Romans 8:38–39 (AV) 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 10:27–29 (AV)27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
The promise from God is that if we continue to follow Jesus, nobody, not even Satan can take us from God. We are secure in God.
12. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 (AV)14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
John 5:28–29 AV
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
We are promised that death is not the end we have resurrected power.
13.Revelation 21:4 (AV)4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
John 3:16 AV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
We are promised eternal life
