The Pride of the wicked (15-17)

They do not believe that their sin has consequences

Proverbs 10:4

They do not honor God as the creator

All pride will be brought low by God

Proverbs 16:18

God gives wisdom and ability to those who are humble before him

The Humble knows that God will bring all things to an end

Matthew 5:3-12

God gave Abraham a great name even though he came from humble beginnings

Israel was to look back at their father and remember what God can do for those who trust in Him

When God brings victory we can only look to him and glorify God

Abraham knew that God gave him a child so that every day he looked at him he glorified God

He was willing even to give his son back into the hands of God
