Introduction

Last week we learned the 144,000 were Jewish men from the twelve tribes of Israel

Who were the first to receive Christ as their Messiah during the tribulation

They were sealed For the protection from God’s wrath

Listen To The Gospel

Once God has sealed His 144,000, the whole world will be able to hear the message.

The antichrist and his false prophet will be serious and try to stop the revival by forcing new believers to turn away from the faith.

Executions will be frequent and numerous.

The number of martyrs will be more than any man can count

These martyrs will be given white robes, symbolizing the righteousness of Jesus.

Give the illustration of when Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem before his death and the people had palm branches.

The Scriptures gives us an important clue the as to what the deceased believers are like before they are raised from the dead.

The apostle John could see them, he could tell that they came from different nationalities and races.

Even though the soul and spirit of the Christian leave their body, people will still be able to identify them.

Why is this important? This is further evidence that the believers knowledge will be greatly improved in heaven (not affected by sin of this world)

Revelation 7:10 NKJV

10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

This is a great worship service of victory and rejoicing whose central theme is salvation.

The glory of salvation that belongs to God and his Son, Jesus.

God is the author of salvation and has narrowed the way to heaven* down to one—the Lamb of God.

Dave Hunt - Moses wrote, “So teach us to number our days [that is, to realize how quickly they come to an end], that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). The implication is clear that something lies beyond the grave for which we ought to make plans.

Worship Before The Throne

Revelation 7:11 NKJV

11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,

This could be one the greatest worship services ever

When this multitude of Tribulation Saints stand before the throne praising and glorifying the Father and the Son,

all the angels of heaven will join in; followed by the twenty-four elders and four living creatures.

Notice all the different groups: the Tribulation Saints, the twenty-four elders (representing the Church), the angels, and the four living creatures. Everyone in heaven will participate in this service.

Revelation 7:12 NKJV

12 saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”

“Amen” indicates that the angels will agree with the Tribulation Saints.

Salvation belongs to God and his Son, and they deserve the credit for getting this great multitude to heaven.

Then the angels will break forth with a sevenfold declaration of worship:

blessing, glory, wisdom, thanks, honor, power, and might all belong to God forever and ever.

Leon Morris - This concerns all the angels. They were standing round the throne and therefore round the elders and the living ones. But at the cry of the redeemed they prostrated themselves and worshipped. They first said Amen, which is their assent to the cry of the multitude. It also shows that this act of worship is called into existence by the angels’ joy at God’s saving act.
