Thanksgiving During Hard Times James 1:16-18 Life is hard! Your trials are designed just for you. 1. Remember God's Love: Don't be deceived, my dearly loved brothers. James 1:16 God is not on trial during our trials; we are * All our excuses lead back to God. * Beware of misbelief! There really is no cure for "misbelief" except replacing falsehood with the truth. 2. Remember God's Goodness: Every generous gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with Him there is no variation or shadow cast by turning. James 1:17 * Everything good comes down from God. * We are alive because God wants us to be alive. God's completely good. God's constantly good. God's unchangeably good. God will never not be good. God could never be less than good. Everything he does is good. 3. Remember God's Grace: By His own choice, He gave us new birth by the message of truth so that we would be the firstfruits of His creatures.
