The invitation is always open.
Jesus came with a purpose - His Mission was to provide a way for eternal life. It is a mystery when we try to wrap our brains around it it but when you get it , it changes your life forever.
In John 3 we see the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus. The questions, the answers.
We are going to watch this clip from the Chosen, I want to invite you to pay attention to it.
Nicodemus had many questions:
Nicodemus was part of the Sanhedrin, 71 elders who ruled over Jewish affairs. They knew the Old Testament and you had to live by the law.
Nicodemus realized that only God can heal. He realized that his teachings is true.
Nicodemus has a hard time of relating the physical and spiritual
What does he refer to the account in Numbers 21. the lifted up refers to the cross.
Believe is said 7 times
Jesus said the invitation is always open, What about Nicodemus?
What I get the most from the video is this.... It Shows Jesus with human traits that I sometimes think we forget. He is so compassionate with Nicodemus and wanting him to make the decision of salvation, he said think about. The invitation is always open.
The gift of Salvation is
Acknowledge your sinfulness
Repent of your sins
Believe that Christ Died on the cross, was buried and rose again.
Trust him to save you
The invite is open to you..
Inviting someone can be hard, because you might not want them there. But in the word of God I want to share with you the greatest invitation of all.
