Jonah’s Call: “Take 2!” (3:1-3a)

Jonah Preached (3:3b-4)

Nineveh was a large city and took three days to go through it.
The message, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.”

They Responded (3:5-9)

Nineveh believes God and repents and turns from their evil ways.
A fast is proclaimed. All of them put on sackcloth.
Even the king put on sackcloth and proclaimed a fast.

God Responded (3:10)

God saw their response from Heaven.
God relented and did not bring destruction on them.
God is rich in mercy even though they didn’t deserve.
