The perfect gift

James 1:17 - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

This is where I would tell you what is good from God is good. This is the type of thing that happens in life that gives you that permanent smile, doesn’t just change a day but changes a life.

In the season coming up, people around the country will decorate there homes and communities with Christmas decor, people will be putting up all these lights to let everyone know they are celebrating the season. But the key point is they want everyone to see, and all the lights are checked and tested so the perfect display will be what is seen.

I want to take the time for you to notice the end of the scripture tho, Jesus is known as the Father of Lights

There is no variation or even a shadow

we often buy light bulbs with different wattage or led, flourescent, etc...

But when we talk about the perfect gift, it comes from above which is from God who doesn’t seem dim at times, doesn’t shine so bright we can’t see either. Its always the perfect light that allows us to see clearly, its the things we allow around us that dim what God is giving to us.
