Psalm 92:1–4 KJV 1900
1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, And to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, And thy faithfulness every night, 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; Upon the harp with a solemn sound. 4 For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

The Theme to Psalm 92 indicates that it is a song for the sabbath day.

Since the five psalms that follow it have no heading , many scholars believe that Psalms 92–97 comprise a group of songs to be used in congregational worship.

The Book of Leviticus records that this is to be done In obedience to God’s commandment that His people came together on the sabbath to worship Him (Le. 23:3).

The people of God to this very day continue this practice although many meet on the Lord’s Day instead of on the sabbath,

I have to tell you that whenever we gather for worship we should joyfully and freely give praises and thanksgiving unto God!!;

Now days the praise team has to pump and prime you to:

Lift your hands, Wave your hands, Clap your hands

jump up and down, Skip, Leap, Holla at your Neighbor;

there ought to be a voluntary spirit on you that has the intelligence and will to know that you owe him the very best praise that you have!!!

1. GIVE THANKS V1.

In this text beginning in verse 1 , it supplies us with 2 names of God that convey the basis for our praise:

1. LORD (Yahweh, Jehovah) is God’s covenant name to His people. Through His covenant, we have a personal relationship with the LORD. He is faithful to His people and to His promises.

As LORD the psalmist says we are to give Thanks.

2. Most High (Elyon) means that He is the Supreme One; He is above every other being in the entire universe.

As Most High we are to sing praises unto HIM;

Thank you for keeping your covenant with me ,

Thank you for having personal relationship with me ,

Thank you for keeping your promise, and because you’re the Numero Onu, the common denominator, the first and the last, the beginning and the end, the SUPREME ONE over the entire universe I got to sarinade you with a song :

I SING BECAUSE I’M HAPPY , I SING BECAUSE I’M FREE, HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW AND I KNOW HE WATCHES ME!!!

2. PROCLAIM v2. - To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

We do it to make known of his lovingkindness ans his faithfulness.

(Morning and Night)

3. PLAY V3. - Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

We don’t do it upon just any old instrument but it says an 10 stringed instrument and upon the psaltery which means the strings are to be plucked and with a solemn sound mean a harmonious sounds.

Thats why I love when we sing JESUS LOVES TO HEAR THE SOUND OF PRAISE, IT SAYS A SWEET SYMPOHNY ARE HEARTS MEALODY AND SONG A PRAISE TO HIM IS MUSIC TO HE EARS....

4. HE’S MADE ME GLAD V4. - For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

TRIUMPH - I WILL REJOICE!!!!
