What do we all really need this year, this Advent?
We go back to the beginning.
When things go wrong, it’s always a fair idea to go back to the beginning and take a fresh look.
We are dealing with a world that wants to constantly question: “Did God really say?”

Context: Where does this fit in the Big Picture of God's Glory?

Pretty early, honestly

Overview: What's going on here?

Genesis 3:1 CSB
Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden’?”
Genesis 3:15 CSB
I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.
The Word Pre-exists the Creation (John 1:1) and is the answer to the whole problem

Reflection: Why does this matter?

John 1:14 CSB
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Expectations: What do we do about it?

1. Make time for the Word: How busy are your plans?

2. Remember WHY YOU CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS!

3. Do not let what others say about Christmas shift you from what God has really said:

John 1:14 CSB
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
