Meditation:
Memes about 2020… If 2020 were a drink it would be a colonoscopy prep...
Yet, here we are to give thanks on Thanksgiving eve 2020…thankful we are and thankful we must be.
Someone sent me this text earlier in the week...
Philippians 4:4–7 ESV
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Thankful for the struggles that keep us dependent on the Lord
Thankful for the powerful presence of the Lord in the face of difficulty.
Thankful for the peace of God that is the result of being safe and secure in Christ Jesus.
Prayer of thanksgiving…family or close friends that you are going to be around regardless…Pray out loud or silently…3 minuites then I will lead us in prayer followed by two other segments of prayer led by Pastor Scott Hand and Pastor Scott Paulding.
After prayer for nations
Lamentations 3:22–24 ESV
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
