Philippians 4:6-7
King James Version Chapter 4
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus
A. PRAYER
Worry is a call from God telling us it is time to pray.
the more we worry the less you Pray. More you pray the Less you worry.
B. SUPPLICATION
A moment you Worry you need to pray and be specific. not time for general prayer. we need to be serious in Prayer.
C. THANKSGIVING
God wants us to give thanks not for the problem itself but for God being there for us durning the time of problems. it is a demonstration of faith in God’s goodness and provision despite what we see.
D. Peace
This is God’s calm in the midst of chaos. the problem may not be taken care of but His peace is a sign He heard our prayer.
II. DEALING WITH DARKNESS
II. DEALING WITH DARKNESS
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
This passage is talking about the need for worship and fellowship with other christian. We are the light of the world but Tony Evans says as soon as we pull away from the gas pump our fuel gage begins to go toward empty. worship and fellowship is where we refuel our spiritual tanks.
