When the time came to completion, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
“When the fulness of time had come...”
GOD is with us!

Joseph needed some reassurance...
The birth of Jesus Christ came about this way: After his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, it was discovered before they came together that she was pregnant from the Holy Spirit. So her husband, Joseph, being a righteous man, and not wanting to disgrace her publicly, decided to divorce her secretly.
But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which is translated “God is with us.”
The reassurance given to Joseph = this is God at work AND God coming into his life…coming into the world!
…and none of this, as we read in Galatians, was a last-minute reveal of God. For this specific identifier of the Messiah, God set out 700+ years in advance...
Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: See, the virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.
BUUUUUT…how do we know that this truly is God. Is there any more evidence? …YES!!!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; he saw it and was glad.” The Jews replied, “You aren’t fifty years old yet, and you’ve seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, before Abraham was, I am.”
Now, Father, glorify me in your presence with that glory I had with you before the world existed.
God IS with us.
God IS with us.
Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
There was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, looking forward to Israel’s consolation, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he saw the Lord’s Messiah.
When the centurion, who was standing opposite him, saw the way he breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”
teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
