Start off with writing a Christmas list. … Then pass out the ads and have them redo their Christmas list.

Ask what is the difference between the two lists?
Why the difference ?
What we see we tend to want..... that can be from the things in the ads. What was one thing that you saw in the ad that you want, that you never thought about before? Why is it that you now thought that would be great to have.
Our desires for things come from what we see. The new truck, the new phone, the newest xbox, playstation.

Why is it called Black Friday?

The term “Black Friday” (in the retail sense) was coined in the 1960s to mark the kickoff to the Christmas shopping season. “Black” refers to stores moving from the “red” to the “black,” back when accounting records were kept by hand, and red ink indicated a loss, and black a profit. Ever since the start of the modern Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1924, the Friday after Thanksgiving has been known as the unofficial start to a bustling holiday shopping season.
So, Exactly How Much Money Got Spent on Advertising? - why are they spending so much. The more we see the more we want.
1/2 Billion dollars was spent on television advertising by the top retailers in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving. so what does this have to do with A Matter of the Heart?
There is a war for our soul. Especially with guys we are draw away from God by our lusts. Lust of anything that is now what God has for us.
The word lust today is used almost exclusively to mean strong sexual desire. In KJV usage it connotes intense pleasure or delight, or simply an inclination or wish.
