What is a path and what is its purpose?

Path- A way beaten or trodden The way, course or track where a body moves A way or passage.
A path is something that we walk on to get us somewhere, a path always has a beginning and an end, every path leads somewhere.

Does it matter which path you choose to follow?

Proverbs 16:25 NASB95
25 There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

How can you know the right path to follow?

As a Christian you need God’s help to make right choices.

There are lots of choices, but you get to choose.

You can choose life or death

Proverbs 12:28 NASB95

Psalm 16:11 NASB95
11 You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

Those who followed Jesus where called part of The Way

John 14:6 NASB95
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
John 8:12 NASB95
12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
Matthew 7:13–14 NASB95
13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
1 John 2:6 NASB95
6 the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

What will it look like in the last days?

Why is the path that you choose so important, especially now?

Malachi 3:1–3 NASB95
1 “Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of hosts. 2 “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. 3 “He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord offerings in righteousness.
Malachi 3:16–18 NASB95
16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who esteem His name. 17 “They will be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” 18 So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.
Malachi 4:1–3 NASB95
1 “For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says the Lord of hosts, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.” 2 “But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. 3 “You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,” says the Lord of hosts.
Proverbs 4:18 NASB95
18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.
