How the Eternal Warrior Empowers You—Ephesians 6.10-17

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, and after you have done everything, you may be able to stand your ground when the day of evil comes. Ep 6.10-13

BE STRONG AND STAND FIRM AGAINST SATAN’S SPIRITUAL FORCES BY PROTECTING:

·         Your [HEART] with the Warrior’s Empowering [TRUTH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS]

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place. Ephesians 6.14

18For this is what the Lord says—he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited— he says: “I am the Lord, and there is no other. 19I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob’s descendants, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I, the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right. Isaiah 45.18-19

·         Your [COMMITMENT] with the Warrior’s Empowering [GOSPEL OF PEACE]

And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Eph 6.15

34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right. 36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. Acts 10.34-36

·         Your [HOPE] with the Warrior’s Empowering [FAITH]

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Ephesians 6.16

(We are born anew into living hope thro. Jesus’ resurrection)…4And into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Eph 6.17

13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords. Revelation 19.13-16
