Does 2020 feel like a gift to you yet?
Does 2020 feel like a gift to you yet?
I heard God tell me this morning loud and clear that 2020 is a gift to us.
18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
I heard God tell me this morning loud and clear that 2020 is a gift to us.
I see this breaking down in Three ways.
Three ways 2020 can be a GIFt to you:
1. Some good things happened.
Debt paid off
Time with family
New job, opportunity
Not getting sick
New house or place to live.
2. Something has not happened yet, or you dont see they happened yet.
New beginnings
Relationships
Connection
Reset
Breakthrough
3. Some bad things happened, and you can thank God for what He gave you in that experience.
Loss of a job
Lost a loved one
Cant do what you love
Gained some weight
You do need to want to be thankful for that bad experience in order for God to open your eyes to see.
Lastly:
I think it is super important to believe that God Gave 2020 to you as a gift. This year is not done yet.
Dont rush to finish a bad year.
Invite God to finish works, to start you on a new journey, to see what is a gift, to turn a bad experience into one of the biggest gifts of your life.
Closing:
Three ways 2020 can be a GIFt to you:
1. Some good things happened.
2. Something has not happened yet, or you dont see they happened yet.
3. Some bad things happened, and you can thank God for what He gave you in that experience.
This Week’s Challenge:
Find one thing to thank God for in each one of three ways to give thanks.
Something good
Something not happened or seen yet
Something bad
Other Resources:
16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not quench the Spirit; 20 do not despise prophetic utterances. 21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; 22 abstain from every form of evil. 23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 25 Brethren, pray for us. 26 Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss. 27 I adjure you by the Lord to have this letter read to all the brethren. 28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; 11 you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.
