Luke 2:15–20 KJV 1900
15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Beth-lehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
(2:15–18) Shepherds: there were the excited shepherds’ seeking evidence. Note their excitement.
a. They decided immediately to visit. “They said one to another, let us now go.…”
b. They rushed to see for themselves. There is a sense of extreme urgency in these words. They acted with haste, rushed, hurried. They felt an urgency to act and to act now. They wasted no time. Note: they found the babe just as the angel had said.
c. They shared the message. They first experienced seeing the child themselves, then they shared their experience wherever they went. They were the first to bear witness to the Savior of the world.
d. They caused a stir among the people. Note that nothing is said about these hearers’ seeking out the child. They only wondered about what they heard; they never responded and never moved to find Him for themselves.

Sometimes we don’t feel God or even know that he is around us
We can’t see him
We can’t feel him
We don’t even think God exist
Even when we are going though trials and problems of all kind
1 Peter 4:12 KJV 1900
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
We wonder where are you God
1 Peter 3:22 KJV 1900
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
But that’s where Faith comes in
Hebrews 11:1 KJV 1900
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Mark 11:22–26 KJV 1900
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Philippians 1:6 KJV 1900
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Romans 10:17 KJV 1900
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:9–11 KJV 1900
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Conclusion: Jesus came into the to save sinners Jesus has done that.
